Ladies Day at The Races - Sunday 15th August

A special day in the Jersey sporting calendar, Ladies Day At The Races will attract hundreds of people from across Jersey and the equestrian world to enjoy what promises to be a fantastic day.  I have been there for the past two years and the event just keeps getting bigger and better.  I have a lovely day planned so start dusting off those huge hats and high heels!    Our day includes a welcome drink at the new and exclusive Totem Club in St Helier,  transport from town, Pimms on arrival at the racecourse, a sumptuous lunch with wine served in the members’ marquee, admission to the exclusive members marquee and bar, admission to the viewing bank and stand, and once you have collected your winnings and celebrated you can make the most of the return transport back to town. Of course we have a prize for the best hat too!

This event, one to watch out for later this year will appeal to those with a keen interest in the pleasures of good eating, Sudi Pigott, a respected food critic, journalist and author of “How to be a Better Foodie” will be offering us a taste of the rarefied world of the expert gastronome through her Better Foodie Quiz Dinner. So if you ‘know your onions’ or you think you do, this is the ideal opportunity to test your foodie prowess whilst partaking in the sumptuous dinner that Shaun Rankin and his team will have on offer.
