Flirting for Success Event - a fun and successful evening

Jennie Hamilton and Mel HarrisWe held our much acclaimed workshop ‘Flirting for Success’ on Wednesday 4th February at The Pomme D’Or.  Click here to see photos.

Entrepreneur Mel Harris from The Performance Tree hosted the workshop, which contrary to media speculation, is a very professional course that introduces individuals to the components of successful communication and rapport building using models and techniques that open up the complexity of engaging and building relationships with others in business.

Mel welcomed her guests and opened the evening by defining just what is meant by ‘flirting’, namely “how to make people feel relaxed and comfortable in your company”.

The workshop was fun, interactive and enjoyable and explained the models of communication and gave our ladies techniques as well as insights to develop this skill range.

Mel introduced us to:

*Defining flirting both in the work place and socially
*How to Create Dynamic Relationships
*The Flirting Tool Kit
*Creating the right state of mind
*Developing awareness of our communication style
*Understanding other people's communication styles
*How effective is own own EQ?
*Building Rapport
*How to get the conversation started
*What to watch out for...

Over 25 ladies attended and the feedback has been great.  Scientifically we know that learning is more effective when participants are having fun and being active in the process and this was definitely the case on Wednesday.  Flirting for Success was a fun and engaging way to approach the topic.

After attending this workshop I believe I am better skilled to build long lasting and innovative relationships through understanding the complexity of people. I appreciate further that effective communication builds rapport and clarity, and I recognise the importance of values, vision and mission in developing strategy and engaging individuals and teams.

Mel has delivered this workshop to Senior Managers and Heads of HR and Learning & Development for companies such as HSBC, the Tourist Board, Chambers of Commerce, Shell, Housing Associations and marketing and design companies who all felt it was the best communications course they have attended. If you are interested in learning more about Mel’s workshops or individual coaching, please do get in touch and I will gladly arrange for you to discuss matters with Mel.
