Jennie Hamilton - About UsAbout Us
Deals in Heels is a dynamic fast-growing online and offline networking community for working women in Jersey across all sectors and industries. We launched on 18th November 2009 on Women's Enterprise Day and we have lots planned for 2012 too.

The driving force behind Deals in Heels is Jennie Hamilton, a successful business woman who started Deals in Heels when she returned to the Island and quickly recognised that there was no easy access to resources and networks for women in business in Jersey. Her extensive business experience has been gained from working in a wide range of industries across the UK, Europe and Australia. Through the success of her first business network, The-Grapevine Virtual Business Network, she has helped many men and women fulfil their ambitions and successfully start and grow their own businesses throughout the UK. She's driven to make a difference, and she is enthusiastic and passionate about women's enterprise.

Gender is a business issue, not a women's issue. Never before has there been such a convergence of international attention to the economic importance of women. Our position as consumers, employees and leaders is being recognised as a measure of health, maturity and economic viability. We are becoming central to labour market solutions to the challenges of an ageing workforce, falling birth rates and skill shortages. Communities wanting to foster entrepreneurial growth do not leave women in business detached and isolated. Rather, they put mechanisms in place to support, encourage, explain, and train and this is exactly what Deals in Heels intends to do.

Our Mission
Our prime objective is to work with women, for women. Promoting and celebrating the engagement and participation of women in economic success by enabling women to be more confident in life and business through knowledge, contacts, support and friendship.

Jersey can benefit further from women who will:

  • Start new businesses to boost our economy
  • Be enterprising employees that revitalise organisations and aid business growth
  • Have a can-do attitude and the skills to spot opportunities and implement ideas that benefit everyone of us
  • Become involved in social entrepreneurship that can enrich communities
